Kelvin Fiedler

Principal Metallurgist

Kelvin is the Principal Metallurgist and founding Director of MPC, and has over 40 years of experience working at a Metallurgist in both operational and consulting roles. He has worked on projects all over the world, including Australia, the Netherlands, Ghana, Indonesia, USA, South Africa, Iran, Mongolia, Canada, Mexico, Solomon Islands, Lao, Mozambique, China, Brazil and Chile. Kelvin’s expertise includes the development of metallurgical test programs, supervision of metallurgical test work, scoping / pre-feasibility (PFS) / feasibility studies (FS), process plant design, process plant audits / de-bottle necking, commissioning and plant operations. His assignments have included work on gold/silver, copper, lead, zinc, nickel, molybdenum, graphite, tin, tungsten, phosphate, uranium, lithium, scandium, mineral sands and coal. He established MPC in February 1989 to provide quality contract and consulting services to the mining industry. 

Rebecca initially commenced a career in the Health Sciences, which led to the completion of a PhD and specialisation in quantitative research methodology and statistics. With nearly fifteen years of experience in research and statistics, she has applied these principles across a number of different disciplines, including the mineral processing industry since 2008 when she commenced work with MPC. Rebecca completed her Graduate Diploma in Extractive Metallurgy through Murdoch University (Western Australia) in 2019.  Rebecca’s work has typically involved the front end of project development, from the conceptual stages of a project through to feasibility studies. Her expertise includes metallurgical test work protocols and data collection, statistical analysis and interpretation, process and flowsheet development, and technical report writing.
